San Francisco 49ers star Nick Bosa sent a very clear message about the 2024 presidential election on Sunday night. But after the fact, he had very little to say about his public support for presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
Shortly after the 49ers’ victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, Nick Bosa used his teammates’ on-field interview to publicly share his support for Donald Trump by putting on a “Make America Great Again” hat on camera.

Naturally, this was a talking point that reporters asked him about when Bosa stepped to the podium in the postgame press conference. However, Bosa decided not to talk too much about his move that largely overshadowed his teammates’ on-field interview.
“I’m not gonna talk too much about it,” Bosa told reporters during his press conference. “But I think it’s an important time.”

On Monday’s edition of The Right Time with Bomani Jones, Jones called out Bosa for his lack of conviction at the press conference, telling him to “speak up” if he truly supports Trump.
“Somebody asked him about it in the press conference after the game,” said Jones. “I mean, he was putting on for Trump. What do you mean you aren’t gonna talk too much about it, partner? You made that call; you did that. You brought us here. You decided that you wanted to put that out there, and that’s an important time.
“Now, to me, the question to ask there is why is it an important time? Because I don’t know that dude.
“Last thing I’m gonna pretend I know anything about is what Nick Bosa thinks. On the media end, it becomes important to ask people questions when they ask for attention. He wanted the attention for what he did. Give it to him! I’m not telling that man to shut up and rush the passer. No, I’m telling him to do the opposite. I’m saying speak up, playboy. I can’t really understand what it is that you’re talking about, but I’d like to know a little bit more about your position. Could you tell me, please?”

Maybe we will hear more from Bosa on the matter at a later date. Maybe we won’t
But Jones isn’t the only person asking Bosa to stand up for his convictions if he wants to put them in the spotlight.
