Adam Schefter posted, then quickly deleted, a bizarre quote-tweet Sunday to announce Jordan Love’s injury, leaving the NFL world baffled.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback suffered an injury in the first half against the Chicago Bears and was replaced by Malik Willis. Schefter posted the injury update at 2:06 p.m., writing, “Jordan Love is questionable to return today with what theyβre calling a right elbow injury.”
But the NFL insider quote-tweeted a post by the X account @Dishonest_YT, which has 1,987 followers. The account, run by a YouTuber and Chicago sports fan, posted “Haha.”

It’s certainly not the first time one of Schefter’s social media posts has raised eyebrows. Some of his questionable posts have been hilarious. For someone who is such a prolific poster on X, it’s perhaps surprising he doesn’t make more mistakes. Unfortunately for Schefter, this was the ultimate case of fumble fingers that led to some very confused reactions from NFL fans.
