Netflix set a very high bar last year with its hit docuseries Quarterback.
Now we have a release date and a dramatic trailer for the sequel, Receiver. The series will debut July 10, and feature the same kind of behind-the-scenes access and production value that made Quarterback such a success. The receivers featured in the new series are Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson, Davante Adams (Las Vegas Raiders), Amon-Ra St. Brown (Detroit Lions), and Deebo Samuel and George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers.
The series follows the receivers during the 2023 season, which featured highs (Samuel and Kittle went to the Super Bowl) and lows (Jefferson missed two months with an injury).
The trailer features game highlights, the receivers talking about their TD celebrations and bold claims (Adams: “I’m the most competitive person on planet Earth”). Oh, and a mic’d-up Kittle gets painfully hit in the groin during a game then tells the defender, “My wife’s mad at you.”
Catch every moment.

Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, which successfully launched the Quarterback series, handled the production duties for this series as well. The company had tried to produce a second Quarterback series but struggled to find QBs interested in participating.
