The new F1 Academy docuseries now has a home.
The racing series announced Friday that Netflix will air the docuseries, which will debut in 2025. The series had been announced last year.
The series will follow the adventures of all fifteen drivers across the five F1 Academy teams, offering behind-the-scenes access. Formula One founded the female-only, single-seater racing championship in 2023.

Reese Witherspoon’s production company, Hello Sunshine, is producing the new series.
“This is a huge step forward for not just women in motorsport, but women’s sport in general,” F1 Academy noted in a statement on X/Twitter. “Through telling our story on a global platform such as this, we are able to inspire the future generations and encourage participation. This is progress.”
“We want to inspire and empower the next generation of young women, and Netflix will open up F1 Academy to a global audience of existing and future fans,” F1 Academy’s managing director, Susie Wolff, said (via Variety.com).
It’s yet the latest sign of growing interest in women’s sports, underlined by Caitlin Clark helping drive record TV ratings and interest in this year’s women’s NCAA Tournament.
