Miami head coach Mark Richt was very, very angry about a missed holding call late in the second quarter of Saturday night’s Orange Bowl game.
On 3rd-and-11, Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook completed a 21-yard pass to the Miami 10-yard line, but the play probably shouldn’t have counted due to apparent holding by the Wisconsin right tackle.
So, you can understand why Richt was mad about a potentially game-changing play, but he still went too far with his reaction.
Richt lost his mind and grabbed an official while arguing the call. He was given an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, but should’ve been ejected for grabbing the official.
100% agree with @JessePalmerTV and @Joey_Galloway…Mark Richt should’ve been ejected from game…double standard compared to players

Wisconsin would score a touchdown on the ensuing play to take a 24-14 lead into halftime. As Richt was exiting the field, he did a very quick “interview” with ESPN’s Molly McGrath.
McGrath asked Richt what he was so upset about, and he said, “If you watch the tape, you’ll see.” And that was the end of the interview.
