Football broadcast sidelines have a whole lot of people on them, and that sometimes leads to sideline collisions between players and media, other players, coaches or other team personnel, or people working on the broadcast. The latter is what apparently happened during Saturday’s BTN broadcast of Indiana-Nebraska, where a pass to Indiana receiver Whop Philyor saw him getting hit out of bounds near the first-down marker, and taking out a broadcast employee (seemingly whoever was holding the parabolic field mic) in the process.
That’s certainly a big crunch. Hopefully this didn’t lead to any serious injuries.
The game wound up as a 38-31 victory for Indiana.
