Monday’s College Football Playoff national championship game between the No. 1 LSU Tigers and the No. 3 Clemson Tigers got off to quite the start on the broadcasting front, even before kickoff. LSU’s run out of the tunnel was shot from in front, as it often is, but the cameraman in question appeared to get hit in the process, as seen at the 0:05 mark here:
That’s quite the unusual visual on a College Football Playoff broadcast. And it was unusual (but well warranted) to also hear play-by-play announcer Chris Fowler mention it (around the 0:24 mark); he says “They’re so charged up they even knocked over the photographer on the way out to the field!” Indeed they did.
