It’s not one of the college bowls that is a viewer destination as compared to the Orange Bowl or the Alamo Bowl, but CBS Sports Network will pick up the Arizona Bowl that has been previously aired by American Sports Network and streamed by Campus Insiders. Just as it did last season, the game will be played on December 30 and will be part of a busy college football lineup.

When the NCAA gave its blessing to add the Arizona Bowl in 2015, it was originally thought that CBS Sports Network would pick up the game, but it went to ASN/Campus Insiders instead. But now that American Sports Network is gone, the rights were freed up so CBS Sports Network came in to pick up the game starting this year.
This is a multi-year agreement so CBS Sports Network will be airing game for the foreseeable future. But with CBS Sports Network in an estimated 57 million homes, the Arizona Bowl may not be available to everyone, but it was on American Sports Network which was carried on digital subchannels and some regional sports networks so the distribution wasn’t totally widespread.
The Arizona Bowl will give CBS Sports Network another live event as it continues its search for sports that will attract viewers.
