Charles Barkley is a beloved figure in Philadelphia, where he started his professional basketball career with the Sixers and remains a fixture in the Philadelphia sports scene whenever his work with TNT does not interfere.
On Monday, Sir Charles took a step in the batter’s box at Citizens Bank Park prior to the Philadelphia Phillies’ home game against the Chicago Cubs and, well, it was far from graceful.

Barkley is known to have quite the awkward golf swing, so his baseball swing leaving little to be desired comes as no shock to anyone who has followed the NBA legend off the court over the years. But, Charles being Charles, he managed to have a good laugh at the experience at his own expense. At least he managed to make contact on at least one of his swings!

What would we like to see Barkley do next? Compete in an old-school QB competition? Take a slap shot from center ice? One thing is for sure. Barkley, an Auburn alum, is not quite the multi-sport star another former Auburn star (Bo Jackson) was.
