83-year-old Celtics broadcaster Tommy Heinsohn has been known to say some very interesting things over the years, but what he said during the Celtics’ preseason opener against the Hornets on Monday has to rank pretty high on the list of his eye-opening comments.
Heinsohn was talking about Boston offseason acquisition Aron Baynes, and went into some weird extra detail about the 30-year-old Australian center:
“I took a look at Baynes in the shower. He looks like ALL of Australia. He is really put together.”
NBC Sports Boston tweeted out a close-up cam of Heinsohn leaning in with a smile to play-by-play man Mike Gorman as he provided the information nobody asked for on Baynes:
Via our Courtside Cam, Tommy Heinsohn is very impressed with @aronbaynes.
