It’s nice to know that even if you only play for a franchise for part of one season before leaving in free agency, they’ll still take the time to thank you for all you did for them. Take Jimmy Butler, for example, who was traded from Minnesota to Philadelphia at the start of the season, and is now on his way to the Miami Heat.

With the free agency moratorium lifted today, deals started to become official, which meant we started to see teams say goodbye and thanks to former players. The Sixers obviously put a lot of time and effort into their message to Butler, as evidenced by their since deleted tweet:

Thank you indeed, Jimmy Buter. The Sixers wish you all the best.
