One of the longest-running NBA athlete-hosted podcasts is changing homes. Road Trippin’ from Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye, and Allie Clifton is joining JJ Redick’s ThreeFourTwo Productions starting May 8.
The crew announced the move on X and YouTube this week. Previously, the weekly show was published under the Blue Wire umbrella.
“Road Trippin’ is officially partnering up with Wondery and ThreeFourTwo Productions to bring you the next chapter of our podcast,” Clifton said in the announcement video. “We are coming on board with your team and your crew, JJ, and we are super, super excited to be a part of your family.”

Road Trippin‘ was one of the earliest athlete-hosted podcasts in a space that has gotten quite busy in the years since. Jefferson and Frye launched the show while they were teammates on the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017.
Today, Jefferson is a game analyst for YES Network in New York and works with Ryan Ruocco on ESPN’s No. 2 NBA booth. Frye is a frequent host on digital content from the NBA and TNT Sports, including the league’s whiparound show NBA CrunchTime. Clifton is the studio host for Los Angeles Lakers broadcasts on Spectrum SportsNet.
Redick’s ThreeFourTwo Productions network has fluctuated over the years. Anchored by Redick’s Old Man & the Three podcast and a partnership with DraftKings, the network initially included a show from fellow NBA sharpshooter Duncan Robinson.
Last year, Redick announced a partnership with Wondery in which the two companies coproduce sports podcasts, including Alternate Routes from Trey Wingo and Kevin Frazier. ThreeFourTwo is also involved with Macrodosing, hosted by Barstool’s PFTCommenter and retired NFL running back Arian Foster.
Most recently, ThreeFourTwo launched Mind the Game, cohosted by Redick and LeBron James.
Now, Redick’s former broadcast partner Jefferson brings Road Trippin’ to the network as it continues to expand.
