ESPN announced an addition to its NBA talent, hiring Quentin Richardson as an analyst who’ll be appearing regularly across SportsCenter and digital platforms:

Richardson played in the NBA from 2000-2013 with the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, and Orlando Magic. His single season in Phoenix (2004-05) was perhaps his most famous, as he set a team record for three-pointers (226) that co-led the league and won the three-point contest at All-Star Weekend that year.
On an episode of the Knuckleheads podcast with ex-teammate and close friend Darius Miles (produced by The Players’ Tribune) last fall, he described that season as his favorite. But he picked up a lot of different playing experiences across those teams that he’ll be able to bring to this role, plus he spent time as the director of player development for the Detroit Pistons after his career.
Following his playing and coaching careers, Richardson has accumulated plenty of experience in the media. He’s guested on ESPN, has been a studio analyst for Orlando Magic local broadcasts on Fox Sports/Bally Sports/FanDuel Sports Network Florida since 2019, and has done college basketball work. He also launched Knuckleheads with Miles and The Players’ Tribune that year.
Beyond those appearances, Richardson has also done NBA League Pass “HooperVision” alternate broadcasts, often with Jamal Crawford. He’s contributed to the Clippers’ “BallerVision” alternate streaming feed, recently been a frequent SportsCenter guest, and appeared on ESPN’s digital Countdown To GameDay college basketball show.
