All the Smoke hosts and retired NBA champions Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson will team up for a book at Simon & Schuster. The book will take fans of the long-running podcast behind the scenes with exclusive photos and stories from throughout the podcast’s history.
Simon & Schuster will release the book Oct. 8, 2024, through its Black Privilege Publishing division.
“For the past five years, All the Smoke has led a revolution in athlete-empowered storytelling,” said Barnes in a press release. “This book is a reflection and a celebration of that movement. Putting this project together was an inspiring exercise, a chance to look back and reminisce about the stories we heard, the light we shed, and the progress we’ve made.”

Barnes and Jackson announced the book in the latest episode of All the Smoke in an interview with Charlamagne tha God, who brought All the Smoke into the iHeartMedia fold in September 2020.
“What you’ve done has obviously motivated us to think bigger than just a ‘show,'” Barnes told Charlamagne.
All the Smoke also recently struck deals with Meadowlark Media and the DraftKings Network and announced a live show tour in June.
Add in a pioneering partnership with Showtime (before Paramount shuttered the network’s sports division earlier this year), and All the Smoke has consistently made fascinating moves as one of the first big athlete-hosted podcasts.
The book should allow fans of All the Smoke and the NBA to learn more about the show and its hosts.
