The Los Angeles Lakers blew out the Utah Jazz 121-96 on Wednesday night in Salt Lake City. LeBron James went to the bench early in the fourth quarter with the game already out of hand, and took his shoes off. And with under three minutes remaining, LeBron wandered onto the court in his socks to celebrate great defense from teammate Kyle Kuzma, and that didn’t go over well with Jazz announcers Craig Bolerjack (play-by-play) and Matt Harpring (color commentator) of AT&T SportsNet.

The commentary included “That’s some disrespect right there” and “This isn’t playground ball.”

Harpring: Look at LeBron, he’s on the court.

Bolerjack: With no shoes, mind you.

Harpring: What the heck is going on here?

Bolerjack: That’s some disrespect right there. Please. This isn’t playground ball.

Harpring: I mean, they are clowning right now, on that bench side.

Sure, LeBron shouldn’t be on the court when he’s not playing (and the officials should be monitoring that!), but this commentary just comes across as salty in the final minutes of a shellacking.

Oh, and LeBron didn’t have shoes on because he gave them away to two kids in the crowd.
