On Tuesday’s edition of Run It Back on FanDuel TV, the cast conducted one of the strangest interviews of the NBA season to date with Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson.
Before the interview started, the cast consisting of Michelle Beadle, Chandler Parsons, and Lou Williams teased Jackson’s guest appearance before going to commercial break. But as they did so, they saw Jackson seemingly sitting on the toilet in his bathroom, which they rightfully mocked him for.
“When we come back, we’re gonna be joined by honestly our favorite guest from last season,” said Beadle as Jackson’s feed was shown.
“Are you in the bathroom man? Is that the best spot you could find? Sitting on the toilet,” added Williams.
“This is already the best interview,” added Beadle.
Jackson was seemingly muted initially during the preview of the interview, so he didn’t even get to defend himself for his rather bizarre interview setup.
By the time the show returned from a commercial break for the Jackson interview, Jackson had changed locations to a different part of the house. But the Run it Back crew didn’t let him off the hook for initially trying to take part in the interview from his bathroom.
“Hold on, hold on, okay. GG Jackson is back on the show,” said Beadle while the entire cast laughed at Jackson’s scenery change. “We will get to all things you. But why the change of scenery? What just happened here?”
Jackson replied by telling Beadle that he actually received a text from his parents to move the interview from the bathroom to a much more natural setting.
“Definitely got a text from Dad and Mom in the group chat to move,” Jackson admitted. “So I had to sprint downstairs real quick.”
“Your family rocks,” replied Beadle.
Jackson is in the midst of just his second season in the NBA. And while he has made enough of an impact in the NBA to receive a long-term contract with the Grizzlies, he may not exactly be a natural when it comes to interviews from home just yet…
Despite the odd choice in location for his latest interview on Run It Back, Beadle further explained that Jackson’s bold personality had the entire cast excited to have him back on the show.
“No B.S. You were probably our favorite guest last season. Everybody was so happy, we laughed.”
Jackson has yet to take the floor this season, recovering from surgery last month on a broken bone in his foot, But clearly, his unique personality has him still making headlines off the court.
