Craig Sager is an incredibly inspirational person.

The TNT sideline reporter has fought leukemia for years, and revealed this spring that his cancer is sadly no longer in remission, and doctors gave him between 3-6 months to live.

The Jimmy V Award is named for Jim Valvano, who gave one of the great modern speeches, about what it means to live a fulfilling life, and how best to do so. He was dying of cancer at the time as well, passing away weeks later.

As Sager accepted the award named for Jimmy V, he delivered his own speech, touching on his family, the value of time, and his own battle. It’s deeply moving.
