Brendan Schaub (L) and Dana White (R) got into a social media fight.

UFC president Dana White has never been afraid of getting into it with the media, but he did so in a particularly interesting venue this week; the Instagram comments of fighter Israel Adesanya, where he went after Brendan Schaub of The Fighter and The KidĀ fame.

Seeing that, Schaub fired back hard. This all started with some comments Schaub made about how fighters with boxing and kickboxing backgrounds don’t always turn out to be great MMA strikers at first, which Adesanya apparently thought were directed at him, and posted on Instagram with some mocking comments:

Ssshhhh…šŸ¤« #ithinkyoudbesurprised

White then chimed in in the comments (language warning), and Schaub fired back, saying White “got a break from folding Ronda [Rousey]’s laundry,” while also telling Adesanya the initial comments weren’t directed at him:

Dana White and Brendan Schaub.

Oh, and Schaub went even further in a later response on Twitter:

That’s certainly a flame war. And given White’s previous strikes againstĀ reporters and critics, this may not be the end of it. If there’s another big press tour, Schaub might not be hosting next time. But really, someone should tell White that there are presumably better things for the president of a billion-dollar organization to be doing than trashing critics in the comments section on Instagram.
