Turns out there are some occupational hazards associated with pregame on-field reporter hits.
Apple TV+’s Sacha Kljestan and Kaylyn Kyle learned that the hard way before the MLS All-Star Game on Wednesday night.

“They’re about to turn the sprinklers on,” Kyle said before the inevitable happened. “So us being midfielders, our head is on a swivel. Sach’ we gotta go this way,” she said as the duo began to dodge and weave. Unfortunately, when you’re on the pitch during sprinkler time, it’s hard to avoid getting wet.
“We’re trying to dodge the water here, but the vibes are high,” Kyle said, attempting to continue the segment while bobbing and weaving around the field. “You’ve played in an MLS All-Star Game, what’s the first five or 10 minutes like Sach’?”
“I’m just trying to get my footing in the game,” the MLS analyst replied. “I want to make some passes. If I was playing with Bounga or Evander, I’d be giving them the ball. But the pitch is perfect. Watch out behind you! The fans are filling up the stadium. It’s looking awesome. I just got drenched. This place is going to be sick tonight!”
All things considered, Kljestan and Kyle showed phenomenal poise and focus here. And, of course, the segment made for some great content. But don’t expect Apple TV+ to make this a recurring bit, unless they want to give their sideline reporters a raise!
