The New York Mets came through when it mattered most yet again in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Philadelphia Phillies after Francisco Lindor saved the day with his biggest moment of the season, which featured a great call on both the TV and radio broadcasts.

With a win, the Mets would advance to the NLCS against the winner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres NLDS matchup.

It was a close pitching duel throughout, as both starters allowed a combined one run throughout their outings. But when it got to the bullpen, Lindor made the most of a bases-loaded opportunity in the bottom of the sixth inning, taking Jeff Hoffman deep for a grand slam to open up a 4-1 lead.

Fox play-by-play man Adam Amin brought the proper energy needed on his call of the hit on the TV broadcast, calling it the “biggest swing of the season.”

“Lindor towards right-centerfield! This one is back, it is gone! Grand slam! And Lindor puts the Mets on top! The biggest swing of the season for New York!”

Meanwhile, longtime Mets play-by-play voice Howie Rose made it a point to mention the team’s offensive woes throughout the game up until that point with runners in scoring position.

“2-1 to Lindor, now the pitch,” said Rose. “Swing and a drive towards the gap in right-center. It’s pretty deep, it’s back near the wall! It’s gone! It’s gone! Francisco Lindor, he may have just outdone himself! He has hit a grand slam into the Phillies bullpen in right-center field. The Mets are leading by a score of 4-1. They were famished for the big hit all night. And Francisco Lindor just provided a feast! Mets four, Phillies one here in the sixth inning.”

Rich MacLeod provided a mash-up of all of the calls of the grand slam on his X account, which includes the Spanish and Phillies radio calls as well.

The Mets held their lead and won the game, 4-1, to punch their ticket to the NLCS after Mets closer Edwin Diaz struck out Kyle Schwarber for the final out.

“Tying run at the plate,” said Adam Amin on the final call of the game. “The 1-2 pitch. Swing and a miss! The incredible turnaround by the New York Mets has taken them to their first National League Championship Series in nine years!”

Every clutch postseason play is only as great as the call from whichever respective broadcast team is covering the game. And luckily in the case of Lindor’s grand slam, every broadcast team brought the energy needed to match the moment.
