A day after announcing the launch of one daily studio show, MLB Network announced the launch of a second.

Pregame Spread will air each weekday at 5 PM ET, and premieres this Monday. Matt Vasgersian hosts the show, which sounds like it will have a significant betting component. Ariel Epstein will also make regular appearances as MLB Network’s senior betting analyst.

Here’s more about the show’s daily segments from MLB Network’s release.

  • Set the Table – Vasgersian delivers an opening monologue on the latest happenings around baseball.
  • Hot and Cold Spreads – The latest betting trends will be examined to prepare fans for the night.
  • Back It or Attack It – Debate and discussion on predictions shared by former players and baseball celebrities.
  • Hook’s Highlights – A look at the previous day’s highlights through the lens of betting implications.

On Tuesday, MLB Network announced the launch of Off Base, a daily studio show hosted by Lauren Gardner.

With the announcements of Off Base and Pregame Spread, MLB Network’s daily studio schedule is set for the 2022 season.

  • 9 AM: MLB Central
  • 1 PM: High Heat
  • 2 PM: MLB Now
  • 3 PM: Off Base
  • 4 PM: Intentional Talk
  • 5 PM: Pregame Spread
  • 6 PM: MLB Tonight
  • 1 AM: Quick Pitch

The schedule is similar to previous years. MLB Central will now start an hour earlier, as will Intentional Talk. The two-hour window previously occupied by The Rundown has been sliced in half, with Off Base and Pregame Spread replacing it on either side of Intentional Talk.
