Game 2 of the National League Division Series started with a bang on Sunday night — a home run courtesy of the second hitter of the game, San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatís Jr.
That was almost the case for Mookie Betts, the No. 2 hitter for the Los Angeles Dodgers, until Jurickson Profar robbed him of a homer in left field. But he sold it in a way that made the broadcasters pause for a moment.
You can hear Joe Davis on the call go silent trying to judge whether or not Profar’s glove grasped the ball. It was hard to tell.
“Nobody’s sure yet,” Davis laughed.
Jurickson Profar:
1. Robbed a home run
2. Trolled the Dodger fans.
3. Threw off the announcers and the graphics team.Good to be efficient.pic.twitter.com/Ls2eQuLnHM

Profar just earned an Emmy with that performance.
Left field umpire Adrian Johnson was twirling his finger to motion it was a home run just to add to the confusion.
Profar was all smiles when he arrived back into the Padres dugout where he also did an in-game interview to talk about the play.

“That was one of my wishes,” he said. “I wanted to rob a homer, and I did it in a playoff game so it was awesome!”
He certainly did.
