Following the passing of Scott Miller, Josh Rawitch, President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, suggested a way to honor the legendary baseball writer.
As was expected, Miller’s passing on Saturday produced many tributes. Rawitch’s idea was to help Miller’s book, Skipper: Why Baseball Managers Matter and Always Will, which was released in May, become a best-seller.
“To honor his memory, let’s get Scott’s book on the best seller list,” Rawitch said. “Had been waiting to buy it when he had a planned book signing in Cooperstown earlier this month. Just bought it and will give my copy to our library, where it will reside forever.”

Rawitch also shared his fond memories of Miller.
Crushing news. Losing Scott Miller just isn’t fair. Your favorite writers’ best friend. Kind to everyone, even a young PR guy like me back in the day. Search his name and read the tweets. An amazing legacy he’s left behind. Will be thinking of his family. 🙏🏻
