The video of (former) Astronomer CEO Andy Byron getting caught having an affair at a Coldplay concert is the gift that keeps on giving.
Along with myriad social media spoofs, we’ve seen reenactments from SportsCenter anchors and Major League Baseball mascots.
If there was any MLB broadcaster you could count on to get involved as well, it was always going to be Detroit Tigers announcer Jason Benetti. His penchant for pop culture references has made his calls some of the most memorable in the game. And he was served up a perfect opportunity Friday night when Texas Rangers relief pitcher Chris Martin stepped to the mound.
“CEOs beware, because Chris Martin is here… out of the Rangers bullpen.”

“CEOs beware… Chris Martin is here, out of the Rangers bullpen,” said Benetti as the pitcher warmed up.
Martin, of course, shares a name with Coldplay’s lead singer, who also happened to be the one who made the now-viral moment happen. As Byron and his former HR chief were seen embracing before he tried to duck out of view, the singer said, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Turns out he got it right the first time.
