ESPN and Marquee Sports Network reporter Taylor McGregor has had a very eventful few days.
On Monday night, McGregor earned rave reviews for her reporting on ESPN during a power outage that delayed a Florida State-SMU college football game at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.
And on Wednesday, McGregor was yelled at by a security guard during a live radio hit on Chicago’s 104.3 The Score.
McGregor, a Chicago Cubs sideline reporter for Marquee, was on 104.3 The Score to talk about the Cubs ahead of Wednesday night’s game against the Brewers in Milwaukee. As McGregor shared her thoughts on the Cubs with Spiegel & Holmes hosts Matt Spiegel and Laurence Holmes, a security guard interrupted her and told her to move the car she was parked in.
“He’s yelling at me. Sorry, I’m getting yelled at for sitting on the side of the street,” McGregor explained to Spiegel and Holmes.
“I’m on a Zoom call! I’ll move in a second!” McGregor told the security guard.
And she made Spiegel and Holmes laugh hard by telling the security guard to “calm down.”

“So, back to Jacob Webb,” McGregor said about the Cubs’ slumping reliever, as Spiegel and Holmes kept laughing. “I think he certainly feels it, and there’s a lot of frustration, because this was a guy for so long who was in the trust tree of Craig Counsell. And lately he has not been. And I’m not in the trust tree of this security guard, who is yelling at me, either. So, listen, we can all relate.”
“Apparently I’m not allowed to sit here for five minutes,” McGregor added. “I obviously couldn’t Zoom-and-drive, so I was just looking for a place for a second.”
