During Sunday’s game between the New York Mets and Milwaukee Brewers, Steve Gelbs revealed a harrowing experience that members of the New York Jets SNY crew had to deal with after Saturday’s preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.
It started with Gelbs and Keith Hernandez praising Milwaukee fans for showing up in such large numbers for Sunday’s game against the Mets, despite the flooding. He then explained what the Jets’ SNY crew experienced.
Steve Gelbs explains flooding in Milwaukee.
“The Jets were in Green Bay…the SNY Jets crew had early flights this morning out of Milwaukee so they drove back last night from Green Bay.

“I don’t know if you heard this, Keith. But the Jets were in Green Bay. And our Jets crew, the SNY Jets crew, had early flights this morning out of Milwaukee. So they drove back last night from Green Bay. Got caught a quarter mile from their hotel, had to abandon their car and swim to the hotel,” Gelbs shared.
Jonathan Erdman of The Weather Channel detailed that “Saturday was Milwaukee’s 2nd wettest day in 154 years.” The only wetter day, as he noted, came in a 1986 storm that flooded the Brewers’ previous home, County Stadium.
