NBC Sports Philadelphia unveiled a new scorebug for Philadelphia Phillies broadcasts Sunday, and yes, there were complaints.

There always are complaints anytime a network tweaks its scorebug. Just look at the grief Fox Sports earned for introducing a new scorebug during Super Bowl LIX.

But NBCS Philadelphia’s new scorebug bothered some fans because it brings an end to one of the oddest series in sports: The “POOP Series.”

We’re talking, of course, about the Phillies games each year against the cross-state rival Pittsburgh Pirates. With the old NBCS Philadelphia bug, when those games were scoreless, it looked like this:

The new scorebug brings an end to the strange-but-true POOP Series. (Or PooP Series, if you prefer.)

As noted, many fans get absurdly serious in complaining about scorebug changes. The odd thing about the new NBCS Philadelphia bug is, fans don’t seem that upset about the design, but many hate to see the end of POOP games. Philadelphia-area media published several stories, and there were complaints on social media.

File these complaints away under “first world problems.” Phillies fans will quickly adjust.
