Paul Severino, who has been the television voice of the Miami Marlins for the last seven seasons will not return to the booth for 2025.
Severino shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday.
“It was brought to my attention today that I will not be invited back as the TV voice of the Miami Marlins for 2025 and beyond,” Severino shared as part of his farewell statement. “I gave the broadcast and the audience everything I had, every night, for 7 years. First and foremost, I’d like to thank people who took a chance on me in 2018. Steve Tello, Brett Opdyke and the rest of the executives at Fox, Bally, & now FanDuel Sports Network. From a guy with a dream and limited experience in the booth – I’ve gone on to call over 1,000 Marlins games. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the opportunity. And thank you for being supportive and having my back.”

Severino began working for the Marlins in 2018, replacing Rich Waltz, who was the team’s play-by-play man from 2005-2017. In addition to calling games for the Marlins, Severino is also a frequent contributor on MLB Network.
