Some fans will go to scores of baseball games and bring their gloves with them for their chance at one memorable moment that will last a lifetime – catching a home run ball. Unfortunately for one LSU fan, that moment came and went with injury on top of insult, but at least he was able to laugh about it.
Earlier this week, LSU baseball’s Tommy White hit a home run into the left field bleachers in a victory against Nicholls State. Unfortunately for this LSU fan named Cory, the ball hit right at him… literally was hit right at him. Even though he had his glove, the ball passed by his mit and nailed him right on top of the head like he was Jose Canseco.
Local Baton Rouge reporter Pat Timlin tracked down the fan in the stands and got a priceless interview directly after the doinking and Cory was able to laugh it off, while also showing off quite the shiner and goose egg from the impact.
Meet Cory, the LSU Baseball fan who took a Tommy White home run straight to the dome. He's in great spirits despite the 109 MPH EV missile that hit him.

“It felt like every bit of a 109 mph home run ball,” the fan said.
While the home run ball disappeared over the fence, Cory was able to grab a baseball that the LSU players were tossing around between innings. Hilariously, he ended the interview by saying he hoped to get White to autograph the ball and maybe even “kiss my boo-boo.” Hopefully, the local news will follow up on that one.
