There was a very sneaky ice cream theft right behind the Fox Sports Carolinas set during Monday night’s Hurricanes-Senators game at PNC Arena.
A Mitch Trubisky-looking dude held an ice cream cone while checking out his buddy’s phone, when a guy in a Hurricanes beanie walked in and took the ice cream right out of his hand.

That’s funny. However, it’s almost certainly staged, right?
While everybody else in the background is waving at the live TV shot, these two guys are looking at a phone. And while they’re looking at a phone, another guy sneaks in and removes the ice cream cone from the cup. Somehow, the ice cream purchaser doesn’t even feel this happening, then looks around with a smile on his face, and even appears to locate the guy before turning around again acting confused (“acting” is the key word there).
Consider us skeptical, but still a funny scene.
