HBO released the second full-length trailer for its upcoming Andre the Giant documentary on Friday. This trailer features clips from interviews we’ve already known of, including Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Vince McMahon, and also includes clips from new interviews. Those featured in the new trailer include Billy Crystal, Rob Reiner, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Robin Wright. Crystal and Wright starred alongside Andre in The Princess Bride, which was directed by Reiner.
HBO released a teaser for the film in December, and dropped the first full trailer in January.
This second trailer reaffirms that this isn’t going to be a whitewashed look at Andre’s life, focusing on only the positives, which I think we’re all thankful for. There is so much ground to cover in his relatively short life, and it would be disappointing if the pain and sadness in his life wasn’t discussed at all.
Andre the Giant is scheduled to premiere on April 10th on HBO.
