Every sport has tried to mimic the success of Formula 1’s Drive to Survive on Netflix. And while many have tried, the PGA Tour’s Full Swing series has probably come closest to matching its impact both critically and among fans. And now they have added arguably golf’s most colorful character to their roster in Bryson DeChambeau.
Full Swing came along at the perfect time as it arrived during the drama of the split between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf. And it’s also told some amazing stories not just with stars like Rory McIlroy, but with tour regulars like Joel Dahmen.
On Wednesday, the PGA Tour announced that Season 3 of Full Swing would debut on Netflix on February 25th chronicling the 2024 season. And along with regulars like Joel Dahmen, Tony Finau, Sahith Theegala, Justin Thomas, and Rory McIlroy was a new name in DeChambeau.
Of the players listed by the PGA Tour, Bryson DeChambeau is the only LIV Golf star to feature in the new season.
Season 3 of @Netflix’s “Full Swing” will be released on February 25.

Bryson DeChambeau used to be persona non grata in the golf world, but has completely turned around his image and likability thanks to his YouTube channel and content creation. Now he’s the smart, funny, quirky golfer that everybody loves. That was apparent at the US Open when he outlasted Rory McIlroy in a dramatic duel to win his second major with the full support of the Pinehurst crowd behind him. Being able to dive fully into that tournament from both sides should make for some really captivating and must-see content for Netflix.
In addition to DeChambeau, hopefully Full Swing features the other major duel that everyone talked about in 2024 – Scottie Scheffler vs the Louisville Police Department at the PGA Championship at Valhalla.
The professional golf world shows no sign of reuniting anytime soon with the proposed merger between LIV and the PGA Tour moving at a glacial pace. TGL has now launched on ESPN to give viewers another option in the golf world as well. But at least with Bryson DeChambeau on Full Swing it’s at least one more sign that there is something resembling peace and harmony in the sport that could lead to a reunion that could benefit everyone soon.
