Amid ongoing speculation about his dual roles as an owner and broadcaster, Tom Brady appears set to return to the Fox broadcast booth next season.

According to a report by Ben Fischer in Sports Business Journal, Tom Brady will be staying put at Fox. Brady’s agent, Don Yee, told Fischer, “Tom has had a tremendous amount of fun working with Fox this year, and he’s really excited about the future with Fox and his growth on their team. And this year was the first year of a long relationship.”

“Does that mean he intends to fulfill the term of his contract?” Fischer asked directly.

“Yes,” Yee replied.

The news comes when Brady has received widespread criticism for a supposed conflict of interest between his role as a minority owner in the Las Vegas Raiders and his job as Fox’s No. 1 NFL game analyst alongside play-by-play partner Kevin Burkhardt.

Conjecture has gotten even louder this week as Brady prepares to call the Detroit Lions in the divisional round. At the same time, reports have surfaced that the Raiders are targeting Lions’ offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as the team’s next head coach.

Raiders owner Mark Davis said he wants Brady to have a “huge voice” in the team’s pending head coaching hire. Reports of Brady’s involvement in the coaching search have varied, though all agree that he is involved on some level.

Per Fischer, Yee’s comments “are noteworthy because Brady’s longtime agent keeps a low profile and has not spoken publicly about his client’s job at Fox until today.”

Tom Brady is in the first year of a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox.
