Kenny Pickett got the start at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Pickett, whom the Pittsburgh Steelers selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft, spent two seasons with the team before things fell apart quickly, and he was traded to the Eagles earlier this year.

By all accounts, his short tenure in Pittsburgh is considered a major disappointment. He finished 2023 with the lowest touchdown percentage of all eligible starting quarterbacks in the league (six touchdowns on 324 pass attempts) and finished his tenure with as many interceptions as touchdowns (13).

However, as the Eagles trotted out Pickett instead of the injured Jalen Hurts, Fox NFL analyst had a differing opinion about Pickett and his place in Pittsburgh.

“Pittsburgh should have never gotten rid of [Kenny] Pickett,” Bradshaw said on the Fox pre-game show, something his fellow castmates were quick to push back on.

“Were you saying that three weeks ago?” asked Curt Menafee.

“Yes. Thinking it,” responded Bradshaw, to laughter.

“He never knows when he’s using his inside voice or outside voice,” added Jay Glazer.

The notion that the Steelers should have kept Pickett around was not met with positive feedback on social media either, especially from Pittsburgh fans.

For what it’s worth, Pickett is currently leading the Eagles to a 24-7 halftime lead over the Dallas Cowboys. However, it’s the Cowboys, so take it with a grain of salt.
