Monday morning, Richard Sherman made his first appearance on FS1’s Undisputed since being arrested for a DUI in February.
On the morning of February 24, Sherman was arrested after a Washington State trooper noticed “the odor of intoxicants” on the former NFL cornerback during a traffic stop for speeding. The following Monday, Undisputed returned from a week’s vacation and Sherman was noticeably absent.
FS1 never addressed Sherman’s absence or job status publicly, but now more than two months after the arrest, his standing with Undisputed appears to be safe. Similarly, FS1, and Undisputed did not address Sherman’s arrest or absence during his return to the show.

“Welcome back, Richard Sherman,” Skip Bayless said during the open. “We need your opinions on my Cowboys and other NFL topics. We’ve been sorely lacking with Keyshawn here, but we’ve tried to muddle through.”
In addition to talking about the Cowboys and other NFL topics, the former cornerback was also used to break down the New York Knicks taking a 3-1 series lead over the Philadelphia 76ers during a segment with Bayless and Paul Pierce. While it’s not uncommon for former athletes to talk about sports they didn’t play on debate shows, Sherman breaking down the NBA doesn’t align with his previous reasoning for taking an extended hiatus from Undisputed.
Last month, Sherman tweeted, “I will be back. This was the plan all along. When football topics are getting hotter I will be back,” in response to a person inquiring about his status with FS1. When Sherman agreed on to be part of Bayless’s cast of analysts tasked with replacing Shannon Sharpe last year, it was reported that he signed on to do between 50-100 shows per year. But football topics got hotter, Undisputed’s ratings have been floundering, and Sherman was still absent until Monday.
Hot football topics that Sherman missed over the last two months include NFL free agency, the NFL Draft, Kirk Cousins and Russell Wilson joining new teams, Aaron Donald retiring, and Aaron Rodgers considering a run at becoming Vice President of the United States. There is still no shortage of football topics for Sherman to discuss, but he missed some bangers and returned just in time to talk about the Knicks.
