Have you ever watched Jeopardy! or another quiz show and some contestant rattled off a series of answers and you wondered, “How could anyone possibly know or remember all that?”
FS1 host Nick Wright nonchalantly put on a performance of that magnitude during an interview with Complex Sports this week, displaying a ridiculously keen memory for hot takes he’s made, and the precise details surrounding them, on topics over the past decade.
Wright sat for an interview with Complex Sports that included a game segment, “I Said What I Said.” Interviewees listen to a statement and decide whether it’s something they said.
The First Things First co-host proved to be the Michael Jordan-like GOAT of the game. Here are just a couple of examples of his recall and memory:
Statement: “Jan. 30, 2023. (Patrick) Mahomes on one leg is the third-best quarterback in the league.”
“I did a quarterback power rankings … the best quarterback was Mahomes, the second-best was Mahomes on one leg. I updated it after the Super Bowl, so that’s false. I said Mahomes on one leg is better than the third-best quarterback in the league,” Wright said.
Statement: “Dec. 8, 2016. If Dak (Prescott) was a veteran instead of a fourth-round pick, there’s no question he’d be …”
“League MVP,” Wright finished. “26 touchdowns, four picks, they were 13-3, he should have won MVP … I remember that vividly.”
You get the idea. It’s easy to get the feeling Wright could have sat there all day playing, and dominating, that game.

“I don’t want to come off looking bad and I don’t want to sound arrogant. But I might be better at this specific game than any human being alive,” Wright presciently noted before the game started.
