The Fox postgame crew for the 2024 MLB World Series features two former New York Yankees in Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez. So when the Los Angeles Dodgers came away with the win in Game 2 on Saturday night, Dodgers star Mookie Betts had to have a bit of fun at the expense of the Yankees greats.
New York nearly clawed back in the game with a ninth-inning rally. But with a 4-2 lead and two outs and the bases loaded, Dodgers reliever Alex Vesia came into the game and closed the door on Yankees pinch hitter Jose Trevino to take a 2-0 series lead.

The Dodgers took care of home on their home field. And Mookie Betts couldn’t contain his excitement about it, hugging his former teammate David Ortiz, who accompanies Jeter and Rodriguez on the set. Betts then turned his attention to Jeter, poking some fun at him over the Yankees loss.
“I know you don’t like us right now, but I love you too,” said Betts, who got a big laugh from the entire Fox postgame cast, including Jeter.

Betts is of course no stranger to haunting the Yankees over the years, spending the first six years of his career on the Boston Red Sox with an impressive track record against the Bronx Bombers in particular. The former MVP winner got off to a slow start in Game 1 of the series but turned it on in Game 2 with a two-hit game.
