If there’s an issue with Tom Brady’s roles as Fox’s lead NFL color analyst and co-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, one of Vegas’ best players doesn’t see it.
Much has been made of Brady’s dual roles throughout the season and especially this week, as he’s preparing to call his first Super Bowl. In an interview with Front Office Sports, Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby shared the sentiments of Troy Aikman, downplaying the idea that there’s a conflict.
“I don’t think there’s a conflict at all,” Crosby said. “Obviously, they put restrictions. You’ve seen publicly, Roger Goodell talk about it. He’s communicated all the time, making sure he’s all good. That’s just a part of it.”

Indeed, Brady’s role with the Raiders has left him with more restrictions than most announcers have to deal with, though some of those have reportedly been eased for the Super Bowl. And as Crosby noted, commissioner Roger Goodell has praised Brady for working through those challenges.
As Brady recently acknowledged, his first year as an announcer has had some bumpy patches. That said, he’s generally gotten better as the season has progressed.
Crosby also spoke highly of his own dealings with Brady.
“It’s a business at the end of the day and Brady’s here to win,” Crosby said. “That’s what I’m here to do. My relationship with him has been incredible, for sure.”
