Ashton Jeanty did some very Ashton Jeanty things Friday night for Boise State.
And Big Noon Kickoff analyst Mark Ingram loved it so much, he not only shilled for Jeanty’s Heisman Trophy bid during the halftime show but pulled out colorful props to illustrate his point.
First, Jeanty once again looked superhuman Friday, and he couldn’t have picked a bigger stage, during the Mountain West Conference Championship game against UNLV.
In the first half alone, Jeanty rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown — which came on a 75-yard run late just before halftime.
Fox Sports play-by-play announcer Jason Benetti had been talking about Jeanty being an “unreal talent,” as that play started, only to interrupt himself to say, “And there he goes!”

It’s just the latest incredible play from Jeanty, who is having an historic season for the Broncos.
However, most Heisman Trophy voters have likely already made up their minds about who they’ll chose for this year’s award, and Colorado WR/DB Travis Hunter is the overwhelming favorite.
Ingram, who won the award in 2009 while at Alabama, reached out to those voters who might still be on the fence during a fun halftime show on the Big Noon set.
First, Ingram held up a T-shirt with the message, “Ashton Jeanty scored another touchdown.”
“He scores another touchdown!” Ingram said.
Then Ingram pulled a big tri-fold poster board with the message, “Jeanty 4 Hei2man #2 Fast #2 Good #2 Strong.”
Ingram had more, holding up a drawing of Jeanty.
Then he jumped to his feet, did an exaggerated Heisman pose, and shouted, “Let’s go!”

Hunter is still almost certainly going to win the Heisman, but in any other year, Jeanty would be a lock. Yet you can find plenty of people willing to argue the Boise State star deserves it this year.
Put Ingram, and all of his Jeanty props, in that camp.
