Fox’s Week 9 NFL doubleheader was the most-watched telecast on any network.

Sunday’s Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers game from a weather-impacted Lambeau Field, which was distributed to 90% of television markets, drew an audience of 24.21 million viewers on Fox.

The other 10% of the country saw the Los Angeles Rams play the Seattle Seahawks on the network.

America’s Game of the Week is averaging 25.30 million viewers on Fox so far this season, up 8% season-to-date with the caveat that Fox aired its Week 1 doubleheader this season unopposed, whereas last year both CBS and Fox aired doubleheaders in Week 1, cannibalizing each other’s viewership.

The good news did not stop in the national window for Fox. The network also saw a massive year-over-year increase in its regional window in Week 9. With the Dallas Cowboys playing the Atlanta Falcons in the early afternoon window and being distributed to 69% of television markets, Fox averaged 14.09 million viewers, up 23% versus the Week 9 regional window last season (11.46 million viewers).

The presence of America’s Team also seemingly helped the network’s pregame show, Fox NFL Sunday, draw a larger-than-usual audience. Terry Bradshaw, Michael Strahan, and Co. averaged 4.75 million viewers, up 31% year-over-year. Fox NFL Sunday is having its most-watched season-to-date since 2019, per the network.

A Cowboys lead-in will never hurt a network, but the intrigue of a Lions-Packers divisional rivalry undoubtedly kept fans watching all the way through Sunday evening.
