During Sunday’s Week 8 game between the Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars, a hot mic picked up the frustrations of one man in Jacksonville’s EverBank Stadium.
Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma, calling the game for Fox, had a lot of fun with it.
As the Packers were lining up for a field goal late in the first half, someone in the stadium was heard screaming “God damn it. Are you f****** out of your mind?”
Albert and Vilma had no trouble finding the humor in the hot mic.
“Was he yelling at you?” Vilma asked.
“I don’t think it was us,” Albert said. “At least that time.”

“It was so aggressive, Vilma added. “I thought he was yelling at one of us.”
“Was that our producer, Fran Morrison?” Albert asked.
“Sounded like him,” Vilma said.
“Or perhaps a soundalike,” Albert replied.
There are several different ways for announcers to handle something like this. A lot of announcers will just ignore it. Others will make a cagey reference, as Kirk Herbstreit did on Saturday when a hot mic captured LSU’s coach Brian Kelly’s frustration.
Albert and Vilma were in their element here and handled this hot mic with absolute perfection.
