A resolution has been reached in the lawsuit filed by former Fox Sports reporter Julie Stewart-Binks against her former employer.
According to a report by Katie Strang in The Athletic, Stewart-Binks has filed a request for dismissal of her lawsuit alleging former Fox Sports executive Charlie Dixon pushed her against a wall and forcibly kissed her in his hotel room following a work meeting in January 2016. The request for dismissal comes after Fox and Stewart-Binks had engaged in settlement discussions, according to an April court filing.
“I am pleased that this matter has been resolved,” Stewart-Binks said, per The Athletic.
Stewart-Binks’ lawsuit against Fox Sports and Dixon was filed shortly after a former Fox hairstylist, Noushin Faraji, filed a similar lawsuit alleging widespread workplace misconduct at the company. Faraji’s lawsuit made similar accusations against Dixon, suggesting the executive had groped her during a party in January 2017.
Shortly after Stewart-Binks’ lawsuit was filed, Dixon was placed on administrative leave. In April, the longtime Fox Sports exec left the company. In responding to Stewart-Binks’ lawsuit, Dixon claimed there was “no sexual or offensive contact” during the alleged incident.
As for Faraji’s lawsuit, which implicated FS1 host Joy Taylor and former FS1 host Skip Bayless in addition to Dixon, the case remains ongoing. Taylor and Bayless entered settlement talks with Faraji in March, according to an April court filing.
