What’s in the water at The Herd?
Every week, it seems like someone over there casually makes a claim so absurd or so incorrect that it’s hard to imagine Colin Cowherd and Jason McIntyre aren’t in on the bit.
The two infamously encouraged the possibility of the Los Angeles Angels trading Shohei Ohtani for draft picks before learning that was impossible. Colin included Dwayne Haskins, who is deceased, on his list of NFL quarterbacks who can’t win a Super Bowl. Cowherd boldly claimed that he didn’t think Geno Smith could lead the Seahawks, who play in the NFC, to an AFC Championship. Colin also recently claimed that “Rock You Like a Hurricane” was one of his favorite AC/DC songs. Last week, Colin shared his admiration for Oregon and Washington not chasing transfer players despite both of them featuring big-time transfer quarterbacks.
This week it was McIntyre’s turn to say something inexplicable. While discussing the New York Giants’ 14-7 victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday, McIntyre praised the play of “young quarterback” Tyrod Taylor, who is 34 and has been in the league for 13 seasons.
Jason 'Little Buddy' McIntyre was extremely impressed by the "young quarterback" of the Giants, Tyrod Taylor.

Scrappy upstart Tyrod Taylor was drafted in 2011 by the Baltimore Ravens and has bounced around the league since, playing for the Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, and now the Giants. Not only has he appeared in 87 NFL games but he’s garnered 55 starts with a 28-26-1 record.
Like McIntyre, we hope this Taylor kiddo finally makes it in the NFL one day.
