The NFL has shifted Super Bowl media day to Monday in recent years as part of “Opening Night” Super Bowl week celebrations. And while the hijinks and viral nature of media day content has definitely waned in recent years, because, well, everybody does it – at least this year’s festivities in New Orleans stood out for one reason and one reason only. Jameis Winston.
The former Cleveland Browns quarterback and current free agent is moonlighting as a Fox Sports digital correspondent for the network that is covering the Super Bowl this year. And given how many times Jameis went viral this year for his interviews, press conferences, and general joy at being alive, it was a match made in heaven.
Jameis Winston first asked star Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley where he should play next season. And Barkley’s answer was another hilarious dig at his former team in the New York Giants.

Jameis then found former New Orleans Saints teammate Zack Baun, who has come from out of nowhere to have a superstar season with the Eagles. The two former teammates shared this wholesome moment together.

He showed some comedic chops and timing by asking Devonta Smith what his favorite color was.

Next Jameis found Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid in maybe the best 30 seconds of all. The former Heisman winner told Reid that he would love to play for him, asked him to “eat a W” with him (was he randomly carrying around W shaped cookies the whole day), and then told him he loved his famous punt, pass, and kick video. Tremendous.

If Jameis Winston doesn’t find a new NFL team this offseason, at least we know he has an incredible media career ahead of him.
