Draymond Green has gone at Skip Bayless, yet again. And in other news, water is still indeed wet.
Green and Bayless have unsurprisingly traded barbs for those of you at home. Green called out Bayless on his podcast, labeling him a hater. Bayless didn’t hold back, hitting back at Green by calling him a notoriously dirty player.
Green wasn’t about to let that slide, so he fired back on his show, The Draymond Green Show.
“I told some friends of mine that I wasn’t going to respond to this, and it’s just not kind of Draymond,” Green said of Bayless’ barbs while referring to himself in the third person. “Skip, everybody, skipping past Skip Bayless since Shannon (Sharpe) left him. And he comes out and says he’ll have me eating out the palm of his hands if he comes on the show. I am not coming on your show, Skip.
“I’m going to keep skipping past you just like everybody else skipped on you. Because that show is dead, no one wants to hear you talk anymore. In the words of Richard Sherman: ‘I am better than you. I am better than you at life,’ I am just better than you. Skippin’ Skip.”
Green took a notable dig at Undisputed’s ratings, which, at last glance, the show posted its lowest audience since its return from last year’s hiatus. The debate show averaged fewer than 50,000 viewers leading into the NCAA Sweet 16s.
Green couldn’t resist a playful jab. He subtly referenced his four championship rings with the Golden State Warriors, achievements Bayless can’t match, surrounded by his other trophies.
“We don’t respect you, Skip,” said Green. “You need more people. It’s a wrap.”
Well, then.
The last thing Undisputed needs is more people, but point taken.
