It seems like everybody has been speaking out about the bombshell Fox Sports lawsuit except for those who are in the middle of it. And that includes Jason Whitlock and Cam Newton.

The sports media world was turned upside down this week when a former Fox Sports hairdresser filed a lawsuit that contained some explosive allegations. At the center of the lawsuit were executive Charlie Dixon and on-air talent Joy Taylor and Skip Bayless. Dixon and Taylor were accused of having an affair and using sex to advance positions at the network while Bayless was accused of offering $1.5 million to the hairdresser for sex and then being turned down.

Plenty of former Fox Sports personalities have weighed in while the principal figures carry on with business as usual. That included Jason Whitlock, who had a predictably gross take about the whole thing.

Those comments then provoked current ESPN personality and former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton to take his own shot at Whitlock on his 4th & 1 show. And that included… well, let’s just call it a unique challenge.

“You’re not that guy, pal. You’re not. ‘That big rack of hers,’ that’s inappropriate. ‘That butter skin,’ that’s inappropriate. Bro, you’re not that guy. So to comment on something like this, bro, stay in your lane,” Newton said.

“You’re having an out of body experience and it’s time for me to put you back in your body, to let you know bro you’re not that guy, pal. Joy, is she a very attractive woman? Absolutely. And it’s not for me to make inappropriate statements Jason. Let’s put it like this since we want to get personal, who you f—ing? Who you sleeping with? Bring her to the forefront, him to the forefront, there ain’t no shame but this is a person who has been a villain in the industry for years. So I’m like bro, we want to see her. Don’t say no inappropriate things like that and not be questioned about that.”

Who would have thought that a lawsuit about Joy Taylor and Charlie Dixon would provoke a feud between Cam Newton and Jason Whitlock? 2025 is off to quite the hot start, isn’t it?

Although this clip contains some pretty eye-popping quotes of its own, Cam Newton’s calling out of Jason Whitlock still has nothing on what Stephen A. Smith did to him on his podcast last year.
