After 13 years of writing and editing for Rotoworld, NBC Sports/Rotoworld fantasy writer Evan Silva announced on Twitter that it was “time for the next chapter” and would announce more details at a later date.

Silva has been a big part of Rotoworld and the fantasy football space since NBC acquired the site in 2006. Back then, fantasy sports weren’t as mainstream as they are now, but Rotoworld was one of the first sites to provide fantasy football news and analysis to the public. Silva’s work helped make Rotoworld one of the top sources for fantasy content.

Silva’s mock drafts, team previews, weekly matchups, and analysis are some of the most detailed information for fantasy football owners on the internet. Whether it’s in a season long league or in daily fantasy, Silva is one of the most respected and popular fantasy football experts in the industry.

Currently, there’s no news about where Silva will ply his trade this upcoming season, but just based on pure speculation and the overall trend of the industry, there’s a great chance Silva goes to The Athletic. With a growing fantasy division and the addition of podcasts to the subscription based site, Silva is someone who The Athletic would probably be interested in and would be a great fit, especially since the NFL preseason begins in just over a month.
