ESPN's YouTube page had a big mistake on Tuesday, teasing a video about the Lynx beating the Fever during the game, which the Fever handily won. Photo Credit: Ken Swift on X. Screen grab. Photo Credit: Ken Swift on X. Screen grab.

On Tuesday night, ESPN’s YouTube page teased an upcoming video about the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Final. The video was titled “Full Reaction: Lynx dominate Fever to win Commissioner’s Cup.” There were two problems with that. One, the video was teased while the game was going on. Two, the Indiana Fever won the game by 15 points.

Yes, the Lynx, who won the Commissioner’s Cup in 2024, were favored going into the game, a status only bolstered by an injury that left Indiana star Caitlin Clark sidelined for the game. But it didn’t matter. After a slow first quarter, the Fever dominated the second quarter 20-7 to take a 32-27 halftime lead. Indiana then went on to post a convincing 74-59 win.

While ESPN’s YouTube page eventually deleted the “Lynx dominate Fever” video, several people shared it on social media beforehand.
