Mina Kimes has met hundreds of famous athletes and appeared on a number of TV shows in her role with ESPN.
Yet she admits she recently almost “blacked out” meeting one person in particular on a show.
Kimes will appear on Monday night’s episode of Celebrity Family Feud. She’ll play on a team with ESPN commentator/Meadowlark Media podcaster Pablo Torre, pro golfer Michelle Wie West, restaurateur and writer David Chang, and author Chris Ying.
Viewers watching at home may think it is easy to stand on the Family Feud set, but Kimes explained in an Instagram post she definitely felt nerves meeting host Steve Harvey.
“I blacked out after Steve Harvey shook my hand but trust me: you don’t want to miss this episode,” she wrote.

Celebrity Family Feud airs at 9 p.m. on ABC, directly opposite ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
Hopefully Kimes and her team will perform better than her ESPN colleague Stephen A. Smith did during a Celebrity Family Feud appearance in 2023.

The Smith family battled talk show host Tamron Hall’s family, and lost. Smith said it took him several weeks to get over the loss.
“It was not the greatest representation of the Smith family,” Smith admitted at the time. “I did kinda what I had to; had two number one answers…but we could’ve done better as a family. We lost. We got shutout.”
