Peyton and Eli Manning are at their best on their ManningCast critiquing the offense and quarterback play, often in hilarious fashion, but this week they’re bringing a defensive spin to the altcast with Mike Vrabel.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday that the former Tennessee Titans head coach will join the ManningCast for Monday Night Football‘s Baltimore Ravens-Los Angeles Chargers showdown.
Mike Vrabel will be a guest on the ManningCast on Monday night for the Ravens-Chargers game. Vrabel coached the Titans for six seasons before being fired earlier this year. Known for his work with defenses, he will be a hot prospect in the coaching free agency market this offseason.
The ManningCast appearance will also mark a reunion for Vrabel with his former New England Patriots head coach, Bill Belichick, who will make his weekly appearance on the altcast.
Vrabel is currently serving as an assistant coach with the Cleveland Browns. That role led to a funny anecdote shared by Amazon Prime analyst Kirk Herbstreit when the Browns faced the Pittsburgh Steelers this week on Thursday Night Football. Herbstreit revealed that Vrabel had coached his two young sons years ago.
Apparently Vrabel coaches kindergarten kids the same way he coaches the Browns, language included https://t.co/kDIrl4mIcS pic.twitter.com/sfvVASI4t2

“He coached kindergarten football and he talked to them the same way he talks to these Browns players,” Herbstreit said. “And I was like, this guy is going to be a great coach. ‘Get your ass over there.’ I mean he was just like … In this politically correct style of coaching. That guy is a football coach.”
